Fez Coming To iOS Later This Year
It's been a long time coming, but there's still some time left to go.
Fez, the independent video game from infamous designer Phil Fish, has been rumored to be launching for iOS since as far back as 2012. Things happen in the game industry, of course, and players will note that the game still hasn't landed on iOS. That's soon to change, though, as developer Polytron has recently announced via Twitter that publishing studio BlitWorks will be bringing Fez to iOS devices later this year.
For anyone who may have missed out on the title in the half-decade since its original release, Fez is a two-dimensional platform game set in a 3D world that sees players rotating the viewpoint in order to progress through levels. It made big waves after its release thanks in part to its clever design, fantastic music, and throwback-inspired gameplay.
Of course, there's no firm word just yet on when Fez should be releasing for iOS devices, but it'd be fair to assume it's coming relatively soon. In addition to their announcement, Polytronic also released a new iOS teaser trailer, which can be seen above.
