Touhou Genso Wanderer Heading To Switch
The latest in the roguelike series is moving beyond the bounds of the PS4 and Vita.
How do you prefer your roguelike games? If the answer is “as chibi and anime as humanly possible,” then you may want to check out Touhou Genso Wanderer, which is exactly that. This is apparently the latest in a long line of Touhou roguelike titles over the years, but it's the first to make its way to the West, finally doing so just last month on PS4 and Vita. If you saw those — or are just seeing it for the first time now — and thought to yourself, “this might be up my alley, but I don't own a PlayStation,” then fret not.
Developer Aqua Style has revealed that this newest installment in the series will also release for the Nintendo Switch, which is sort of like getting the PS4 and Vita versions at the same time, if you think about it. Touhou Genso Wanderer follows a shrine maiden named Reimu who is investigating an incident in the strange world of Gensokyo. You can meet many of the ladies who make up the Touhou universe and bring your favorite along for the journey as a partner to battle your way through dungeons and collect piles of loot.
There's no word yet on if this version will come West, let alone when, but if it did well enough on PlayStation devices then maybe they'll continue testing the Western waters with the series.
Why not check out some other great Switch games while you wait on a localization for this?
