Layton's Mystery Journey Gets A New Crime Solving Trailer
It's still in Japanese and without subtitles, for those of you looking for the most pure experience.
You probably clicked on this because you're excited to finally see some meaningful info on the newest installation in the Layton series of puzzle adventure games. You might have seen the the previous article I wrote on the game from when it was announced, and have returned now hoping that this time you'll be able to see a hot new trailer in English. Unfortunately, while there is a new trailer waiting for you above, it's pretty much entirely cutscenes and all in Japanese. Feel free to look through the beautiful and — admittedly — fun looking story trailer, while I retrace my steps from the last article explaining the basics of the game for those who missed it.
Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire's Conspiracy, formerly known as Lady Layton — which is a whole lot less of a mouthful — follows Professor Layton's daughter, Katrielle. The lovely Lady Layton solves cases in the most bizarre ways, and not just because she has a talking dog for a partner. She took up the job while searching for her missing father, but popularity has its drawbacks, and the more jobs she completed, the more people wanted to hire her, cutting down her time searching.
So far we've not been confirmed of a 3DS release in the West yet, but we will be getting the mobile version on July 20 for iOS and Android.
[Update: It's been confirmed now that the 3DS version will indeed be coming to the West, but not until Fall of this year.]
