Electric Blue DS for North America
Since the constant barrage of DS colors in Japan--ranging from pure white, graphite black, candy pink, and others--North American gamers have been wondering when Nintendo would release another DS color in their territory. Today it has been announced that Nintendo will release an Electric Blue Nintendo DS in just a few months. As the name suggests, the color is that of a sleek, eye-catching azure.
"This eye-catching new color comes at an ideal time," said Nintendo's Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications, George Harrison. "Nearly 2 million Nintendo DS owners in North America alone have demonstrated they want something new from a hand-held video game system. Soon, consumers will have two popular choices for the innovative dual-screened Nintendo DS, which features touch-screen control, voice recognition and wireless play."
This will be the second DS color released in North America, along with the systems original "Titanium" color. The Electric Blue DS is expected to release some time in June at the cost of $149.99 (the same price as current DS systems). For a picture of the system, click here.
