The Sims Mobile Releases Early For Android Devices
It's free, it's polished, and it's available well ahead of schedule.
Most gamers are likely to remember The Sims, the house-building micro-managing life-simulating game from EA and famed game creator Will Wright. It was a quirky and addictive series that spawned a number of games across the now-17 years since its first inception, including the reasonably-popular 2011 mobile title The Sims FreePlay. That game has understandably dropped off in popularity, but fortunately for series fans, The Sims has once again returned to the mobile arena with an all-new title simply called The Sims Mobile.
What Is The Sims Mobile All About?
The new game is much more aligned with the PC titles in the series, which is to say that it's rather different from The Sims FreePlay. Sims Mobile players will be able to fully customize their homes, make friends, and acquire new jobs, same as they would in games in the main Sims series. The Sims Mobile will also be free-to-play, which is good to hear considering the game's more premium-oriented nature, but the necessarily evils of ads and in-app purchases will still be present.
EA had meant to roll out The Sims Mobile as part of their fiscal year 2018, but clearly they've decided against that, as the game is currently available for download via the Google Play store. There's no specific word on an iOS version of the game just yet, though it does appear that the Brazilian App Store is currently playing host to the title.
There's no good excuse for Sims fans not to check out The Sims Mobile, that is unless they're already busy with one of the great games featured on our list of the Best Android Games.
