E3 2017 - Rocket League Is Coming To Nintendo Switch
For the first time ever, players will be able to enjoy Psyonix's hit title in handheld form.
Nintendo's E3 2017 direct presentation kicked off with a high-octane montage showing off many of the titles players could expect to see on the Nintendo Switch, and slipped in between clips of other well-known titles was footage from one of the most popular games to grace modern consoles: the competitive car-meets-soccer title known as Rocket League.
The inclusion of Rocket League on the Nintendo Switch does raise a few questions regarding matchmaking, ranked play, and whether or not players can expect any sort of cross-platform support. Nintendo themselves stated that the game will support "cross-network play," but it's easy to be confused by exactly what that might mean.
Any further questions will have to be put on the back burner for now, as Nintendo didn't follow up with any sort of formal presentation for the game. We do know, however, that Rocket League on the Switch will feature a number of exclusive items and cars, and we also know that Nintendo is aiming to release Rocket League for the Switch around this year's holiday season, so players shouldn't have to wait too long before they're able to learn more details about the game.
