Splatoon 2 - How To Choose Different Hairstyles
Changing up your inkling's hairdo is as simple as can be.
While Splatoon 2 might have plenty of frenetic action and strategic depth to keep Nintendo Switch players happy, the game doesn't offer too much in the form of player avatar customization. Sure, players can use amiibo to unlock various gear and outfits, but when it comes down to the base unit's look, not too much can be customized. Fortunately, there is a way for players to change their preferred character's hairstyle, and we've got the easy-as-pie method outlined below.
How To Change Your Hairstyle In Splatoon 2
Players looking to change their hairstyle in Splatoon 2 need only press the Switch's + button when outside of a match in order to customize their character. Doing so will bring up the game's menu -- once there, scroll over to the "Other" tab and then the "Style" tab at the top of the page. This is the area that allows players to adjust appearance options like hair style and pants type.
Moving the left joystick left or right will cycle through available options, and pressing A will confirm the selection as well as apply it to the player's character. This doesn't just apply to hairstyles -- it als applies to the other customization options like skin tone, gender, and eye color.
Do note that there are only four available hairstyles in Splatoon 2 for each given gender, eight in total. It's unknown whether or not Nintendo intends on releasing more hairstyles for Splatoon 2, but if not, players can at least find solace in customizing their character through various Splatoon amiibo unlocks as well as exclusive Hero weapons.
