August Clash Royale Balance Update Nerfs Night Witch And Battle Ram
Tomorrow's update will be one of the biggest balance adjustments in a long line of Clash Royale nerfs.
Clash Royale might not be one of the biggest names in the current free-to-play market, but Supercell's mobile strategy title is easily one of the most popular. Part of this is down to the game's peerless freemium design, whereas another much of the popularity comes down to Supercell's willingness to listen to their players' input and adjust the game accordingly. Unsurprisingly, this has lead to a number of balance updates to the game, and tomorrow, Clash Royale players will see an all-new update that brings major changes to the Night Witch, Battle Ram, Graveyard, and others.
New Changes In August Clash Royale Update
Hopefully there aren't many Clash Royale fans who are totally satisfied with the way the game plays now, because Supercell has no less than 10 new balance updates they play to impliment tomorrow. In particular, the Night Witch has had its damage reduced by 9%, its range decreased by 11%, its Bat spawn rate increased by one second, and its Bats-on-death spawn rate reduced from three to two. It likely goes without saying that this is a substantial nerf for Night Witch fans.
Things aren't much better for the Battle Ram or Graveyard: the Battle Ram will now take longer to charge, and Barbarians will spawn more slowly than before. Also, the Graveyard's duration has decreased from 10 seconds to nine seconds, and it will now only spawn 15 Skeletons as opposed to 17.
There are other changes on the horizon as well: The Electro Wizard's health is getting reduced by 2%, and Heal's duration is getting reduced by half a second, from 3 now to 2.5 seconds total. Fortunately, the rest of the balance updates look to be positive: the X-Bow and Mortar's deploy times have been reduced by half a second, the Mini P.E.K.K.A. damage has been increased by 4.6%, and the Bats bat count has increased by one. Additionally, the Dark Prince's damage has been increased by 6% and his hit speed was decreased by a tenth of a second; similarly, the Ice Wizard's damage has gone up 10% while its hit speed has increased by two tenths of a second.
As always, Supercell is trying to stay closely aligned with their player base, and while not all players will be happy with the massive Nerfs to the Night Witch, overall, players should be more happy to play a game that feels more fair.
