Latest Banner Saga 3 Trailer Shows Off The Game's Signature Hand-Drawn Art
The third and final chapter of The Banner Saga looks to feature the series' best art yet.
The Banner Saga was a game met with immense success in just about every measure imaginable, with critics praising everything from the surprisingly-grim gameplay and mature story and themes to the game's fantastic score and gorgeous hand-drawn aesthetic. And, as it just so happens, this praise holds true even for the iOS and Android versions of the title, which originally launched back in January of 2014.
Obviously, some time has passed since then, and the development team at Stoic is finally ready to bring the three-part series to a close in peerless style. Over the years, games in The Banner Saga have kept up their hand-drawn art and animaton, and now that the third game is closing in on its release next year, the team is showing off the fruits of their labor in an all-new trailer focused on the series' iconic art style. Check it out below:
Players can naturally expect The Banner Saga 3 to close out the series' story arc nicely, and though we can't say exactly what sort of surprises are in store, we can rest assured that the story, characters, and tight tactical role-playing action will not disappoint. Unfortunately, there will be a bit of a wait, as the Kickstarter campaign for The Banner Saga 3 states that the game is slated to release in December of 2018. While that's still a long way out, it does give players the chance to check out both of the previous Banner Saga games, the likes of which are available for purchase through both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
