So bad, you may need a drink to ease the pain.
Recently, we've come to despise most free apps because of poor design and limited options. Case in point, Done Drinking. Although the concept of keeping some intoxicated bozo upright grabbed our attention, horrible controls kill any chance of it being good, even for zero dollars.
Done Drinking challenges you to keep this unkempt and wasted moron from tipping over, the goal to see how many feet (or meters) he can travel before tumbling to the ground. To do this, you can either tilt the iPhone back and forth or press arrows on the left and right sides of the screen. The problem is neither control scheme works even marginally well. The guy leans so far to the left or right that no amount of tilting or button pressing rights the ship; he'll eventually hit the floor. This makes the game incredibly annoying.
To top it off, Done Drinking's publisher (JVL Corporation) failed to include an online leaderboard. That kills the game's appeal, since we cannot compare distances traveled to other peoples. Sure, it's cool to see longest and shortest walk, but the inability to interact with a community partially ruins the experience.
On the positive side, we dig the guy's animation and we chuckled the first time we saw him take a swig from his bottle, but that's not enough to hold our interest. Done Drinking, despite being free, is about as much fun as carrying a drunk friend home, then discovering that he or she urinated in your kitchen.
What's Hot: It's free.
What's Not: Horrible controls, no online leaderboard.
