PSP Euro Launch Date Revealed
An actual day can finally be marked on your calendar
After much anticipation and continual prolongation, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has finally announced the official launch date for its PSP handheld system in Europe. September 1, 2005 is the day Sony's PSP will hit store shelves across European PAL territories, available in a single version Value Pack for a price of EUR249.
The European Value Pack will contain all the same accessory items that were packaged with the PSP for its North American launch (32MB Memory Stick Duo, Headphones, Battery Pack, etc.), save for that of the Spider-Man 2 movie on UMD. However the video can be obtained free of charge for any early PSP purchasers who register their system through www.yourpsp.com.
Since its debut in North America and Japan, the PSP has been met with positive response from consumers, selling well over 1,600,000 units worldwide. Sony is hoping to achieve similar success with the PSP's launch in Europe later this year.
