A carbon free rocket? Someone call Washington ASAP.
Environmentalists will probably love Draw Jump, one of Electronic Arts' upcoming iOS games. The stylish App stars a rocket named Cosmo that went green by ditching fuel, leaving it up to the player to propel him to infinity and beyond. Just don't tell the tree huggers about the materials inside the iPhone and iPad and you'll be good to go.
Like all rockets, Cosmo dreams of going up, up and away, but the lack of fuel means he can't leave the ground without your help. That's why it's your job to send him into orbit by drawing purple lines that serve as trampolines that bounce the cute little guy hundreds of feet into the air. The higher he goes, the better your score. Just make sure you keep a trampoline underneath him at all times. If he falls off the screen, the game ends.
Draw Jump comes with eleven levels spread across six varied environments that include spinning suns, singing trees and even hot dog planets. You'll also come across a variety of obstructions that make Cosmo's trip through the galaxy a bit hazardous, from log mazes to propellers that smack him around.
Help comes in the form of sunflower cells that give him a much-needed boost, but you can't rely on them to succeed. It's all about drawing those purple trampolines to keep him in play. Do it long enough, and you'll climb the global leaderboard and brag to your friends, thanks to Facebook and Twitter integration.
It's a ridiculously simple concept, but Draw Jump's user-friendly interface and Japanese style sketch graphics make it stand out. Besides, there's also the whole "green" thing. Perhaps it'll make throwing those plastic bottles into the trash a bit easier to deal with.
