Super Soviet Missile Mastar

Russian attack.

In case you haven't noticed, the video game industry unofficially declared war on Russia with a variety of console games that pit freedom-loving Americans against the motherland. How can you fight back? Download Super Soviet Missile Mastar, a free, universal and borderline offensive App from The Behemoth, creator of Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid.

In a rare twist, the goal of this game is to blow up the United States of America with a long-range missile. To get the job done, you must guide this missile a set distance while avoiding numerous obstacles, including birds, helicopters and airplanes. Reach the intended target (take that, Oregon), and you'll move on to a new and much tougher level.

Playing the game is fairly easy and oddly enjoyable. To control the missile, you simply drag a finger up and down the screen. Meanwhile, the game records the distance traveled, so it's in your best interest to survive as long as possible to beat the high score. It's just a shame the developers didn't include an online leaderboard.

In addition to the addictive concept, the game also has cool retro style graphics that hark back to the Atari 2600 glory days, complete with bleeps, bloops and catchy but limited music. If anything, the developers perfectly nailed the Cold War vibe.

That said, Super Soviet Missile Mastar lacks the assorted bells and whistles of more advanced iPhone/iPad games, but we can't resist its old school charm and low price of free. Play it for five minutes, and we guarantee it'll make you strong, like bull.

Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Requires iOS 3.2 or later.

What's Hot: Free, universal across all Apple devices, strangely addictive gameplay, Atari 2600 graphics and audio.

What's Not: No online leaderboard.
