Final Fantasy VII: AC Japan Debut
At long last, an official release date
After many years of being left to wait with eager anticipation, Square-Enix has finally revealed the official release date for the debut of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. The CGI movie will hit retailers in Japan on September 14 of this year, available in 2 different versions. A Standard Edition will be priced at 4800 yen, while details on a Special Edition are still to be announced.
It is being reported that the film will in fact be available on both DVD and UMD formats, though earlier reports of an exclusive UMD pre-release seem to have diminished.
It still remains a mystery as to when North America will see the film, but you should expect to hear a variety of announcements made at E3 next week.
