Free Running Announced for PSP
The first game parkour-based game
Today Eidos announced a new title in development for the Sony PSP. Free Running, as it's called, is a game based on the art of movement known as parkour; a sport in which participants (i.e. Free Runners) run, jump, and climb through practically anything in an urban environment.
Players will be encouraged to test the limits of human ability, as they master their concrete playground through means of over 50 tricks, moves, and stunts. Several game modes will be available with the main emphasis, of course, being on races against competitors of both the human and NPC kind.
Sebastien Foucan, one of the founders of parkour, will appear in the game as a mentor providing players with new moves and tricks as they progress. Members of Urban Freeflow will also show up as unlockable characters.
Free Running is scheduled for worldwide release on the Sony PSP this Fall.
