Sega Confirms Release Dates For Shinobi and Crush 3D
One of these games slipped into 2012. Place your bets.
The gaming world has no idea when Nintendo will release much of its 3DS lineup, but they do know this: Sega's Shinobi debuts November 15, 2011, while Crush 3D will hit shelves February 21, 2012.
The first title casts players as Jiro Musashi, father of Joe Musashi from the original 1989 Shinobi. We played the game a little over a month ago and came away unimpressed, largely because of the disappointing art style and boring combat. Let's hope the November date gives Sega the chance to add much needed polish.
Crush 3D, meanwhile, is a port of the beloved PSP title, once again tasking gamers with "crushing" 2D and 3D boards to solve brain teasers. Should definitely be one of the system's best.
For now, stay tuned for info on both games in the months ahead.
