Meet the James Bond of rodents.
Firemint, the talented developer behind such hits as Flight Control and Real Racing, hopes to captivate iPhone users once again with SPY Mouse, which should hit the App Store this summer.
This colorful and cute 2D offering casts players as Agent Squeak, AKA Spy Mouse, a bowtie wearing rodent with one goal: reclaim pieces of cheese from a bunch of feisty felines.
To do this, you'll draw a path along the screen and watch as Agent Squeak follows it precisely, gathering cheese along the way.
Ah, if only it were that simple. Each board appears to have quite a few cats that would love nothing more than to turn our hero into a snack, and that's where the stealth mechanics come into play. You must avoid these enemies at all costs while gathering the cheese, easier said than done, as you'll square off against a variety of foes.
One board, for instance, features shuriken throwing ninja cats, while another restricts the amount of light, making it tough to see what lies ahead; ghosts cats, as it turns out.
Thankfully, you can always slip into a mouse hole and reappear from another, and Agent Squeak can hit switches that activate different objects that should prove useful. He also has access to different gadgets and gizmos, though we're not sure what those are.
What's more, the action unfolds across 72 levels and six unique worlds full of diabolical henchcats you must outwit.
In addition, the app comes with secret stages as well as achievements to unlock.
All told, SPY Mouse appears to be another quality effort from Firemint. Now all we need is a release date.
