Super Mario 3D Land Arrives November 13
Nintendo officially reveals the launch date of Mario's first 3DS adventure, then releases a trailer featuring new footage of this promising title.
We've known Super Mario 3D Land was slated to hit 3DS sometime this November. It was just a matter of when.
Thankfully, Nintendo just delivered the answer. You can purchase the plumber's adventure starting November 13.
For now, you'll have to make due with this excellent trailer that showcases some of the game's newer elements. In addition to using the Tanooki Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3, Mario will hop into a cannon (shades of Super Mario 64) that you'll control from a first person perspective.
In addition, he'll make use of propeller blocks to survive big jumps.
The trailer also shows, albeit briefly, the level select menu that bears no resemblance to the world maps from previous titles.
Finally, Nintendo made mention of StreetPass functionality, as well as the ability to locate secrets using the system's built-in gyro sensor, though it remains to be seen how this works.
