Kid Icarus: Uprising Delayed Into 2012
Pit's impressive 3D romp still needs time to cook.
As much as we love Kid Icarus: Uprising, it was clear Nintendo was far from finished, and that the 2011 launch window was closing.
To make sure this highly anticipated game meets expectations, the publisher officially announced that Pit's latest will debut in 2012.
This news comes after scathing criticism concerning the six-person multiplayer mode, which featured choppy play.
That said, we have high hopes that the company will deliver the experience fans have impatiently waited for the past 20 years.
The delay also gives Nintendo time to plan events surrounding this title. In fact, the publisher is already hard at work creating 3D Kid Icarus animations in conjunction with various Japanese anime studios. You'll be able to download them for free via the 3DS eShop.
Update: Nintendo will release Kid Icarus: Uprising in Japan this January.
