PlayStation Vita Debuts In Japan December 17
Yes, you can import one. Yes, it will cost a ridiculous amount of money.
U.S. and European gamers won't be able to purchase PlayStation Vita in their respective countries until next year.
Japanese players, on the other hand, don't have that much longer to wait. Sony announced that its sexy new handheld will debut on December 17, with pre-orders beginning October 15.
As expected, the system comes in two types. Consumers can grab the Wi-Fi only model for 24,980 yen, which is the U.S. equivalent of $324.80. There's also a 3G version (with coverage supplied by DoCoMo) that'll run 29,980 yen, or $389.80. In other words, just wait until next year.
On top of that, we have a list of Japanese launch titles.
Ys: Celceta, Sea of Trees
Lord of Apocalypse
Ninja Gaiden: Sigma
Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
DJ Max Technika
Browser 3 Kingdom
God Eater 2
Sawari Makuru (translates to Touching Lots)
Super Stardust Delta
Reality Fighter 0
So what do you think? A solid launch, or worse than 3DS?
