Should Dark Souls Come To PlayStation Vita?
Gamers deserve to die (a lot) on the go.
Hardcore gamers have October 4 marked on their calendars. That's when Namco Bandai releases Dark Souls on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
This sequel to the 2009 breakout hit, Demon's Souls, once again thrusts players into a dangerous and foreboding fantasy world teeming with monsters, where one false step will probably result in death.
That said, the game features limited interactivity, as players can offer advice to help lead others out of harm's way or into it. They can even see how others have died.
On that note, it appears to be a wonderful and tough as nails dungeon crawler that'll keep us enthralled for months.
It also seems like a perfect fit for PlayStation Vita.
Sony's sleek portable certainly has the power to run From Software's ambitious creation, displaying multiple enemies on screen at once or one enormous monster.
What's more, the dual analog sticks would make navigating the game world a breeze. Well, relatively speaking.
Vita's online connectivity, especially the 3G model, would come in handy for Dark Soul's community features, perhaps even cross platform functionality between PlayStation 3 and Vita users.
To date, there's been no official announcement that the game's on its way. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
