Infinity Blade 2 Slashes iOS December 1
Bigger monsters, beautiful graphics. We're in love.
Infinity Blade was and still is the benchmark for video game graphics on the iPhone and iPad. Most importantly, it's a wonderful title with thrilling combat and tons of unique items to equip.
Thankfully, there's a lot more on the way. Epic Games and Chair Entertainment just revealed Infinity Blade 2, a gorgeous looking sequel that could eclipse its predecessor in every respect.
Launching exclusively on iOS December 1, 2011 (price to be determined), this new adventure once again tasks players with grabbing sword and shield, then heading out to destroy a variety of monsters.
Powered by Unreal Engine 3, Infinity Blade 2 works in tandem with Apple's iOS 5, most specifically iCloud, allowing users to seamlessly transfer profiles and save games between multiple devices.
What's more, the game includes a new feature called Clash Mob, where gamers join forces to take part in massively social challenges to unlock weapons and items.
On top of that, players can also expect new fighting styles, weapons, treasures, deep role-playing elements and a massive 3D world.
"Infinity Blade allowed us to demonstrate the true potential of triple-A handheld gaming by delivering mind-blowing graphics and awesome gameplay to millions of mobile users," said Donald Mustard, creative director, ChAIR Entertainment. "With Infinity Blade 2, we're pushing the boundaries of everything achieved to date and adding a ton of new content and unique new features to create the must-have gaming experience on iOS."
We absolutely loved the original and can't wait to learn more about this sweet looking title. Expect more coverage in the days ahead.
