Bowser: Kidnapper Extraordinaire
Don't even bother running away, Princess Peach. Escape is futile.
Bowser. He's big. He's mean. He terrorizes the Mushroom Kingdom and most important of all, kidnaps Princess Peach without warning.
In fact, Mario's arch nemesis has made quite a career out of nabbing the blonde haired matriarch. True, he cannot hold onto her very long, but that small issue aside, he's a pro. If you ever need to, um, kidnap someone, he's the guy to speak to.
That said, Bowser continues to come up with new and imaginative ways to make off with Peach, much to Mario's chagrin.
On that note, we're proud to present some of Bowser's greatest kidnappings.
New Super Mario Bros.: The "create a diversion" approach
Mario sure is gullible. Bowser fires a few lightning bolts at Peach's castle, Nintendo's mascot immediately leaves to investigate and Bowser Jr. grabs Peach from behind. Brilliant.
Super Mario Galaxy: The "I'll just firebomb the hell out the Mushroom Kingdom" approach
Here, Bowser ditches subtleties for brute strength, crashing the Star Festival celebration by obliterating the Mushroom Kingdom, freezing the Toads and kidnapping Peach, along with the entire castle.
Super Mario Galaxy 2: The "I'm HUUUUGE!" approach
No airships. No Koopalings, just a humongous Bowser intent on stomping the Mushroom Kingdom flat and making a dramatic exit with Peach in tow.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii: The "Koopalings in a cake" approach
To Bowser, no day is sacred, even Princess Peach's birthday. Instead of sending her a gift, he instructs his koopalings to sneak into the castle and trap Peach inside a giant cake. Works like a charm.
Super Mario 3D Land: The "I already have her approach"
For his latest trick, Bowser grabs Peach right underneath Mario's big nose, then sends the pasta eating plumber a photo.
