Infinity Blade FX Slices And Dices Its Way To Dave & Buster's. Wait, What?
Yes, it's true. Now you'll be able to fight the God King in arcades across the U.S. Father, we shall avenge thee.
Those rascally Angry Birds have toys, candy and even a strange pistachio commercial, but they have yet to appear in the arcade.
That said, point goes to Infinity Blade.
Turns out, Epic Games and Chair Entertainment partnered with Adrenaline Amusements to bring a customized version of the award winning iOS title, dubbed Infinity Blade FX, to 57 Dave & Buster's restaurants/entertainment complexes across the U.S.
In fact, you can get a sneak peak at the GEEX Consumer Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah October 14-15. The game goes nationwide October 28.
"The original Infinity Blade demonstrated the true potential of triple-A handheld gaming by delivering mind-blowing graphics and awesome gameplay to millions of mobile users. We're now taking that experience to a whole new level with an exciting new experience crafted specifically for arcade gamers," said David Lachance, President and leader of innovation at Adrenaline Amusements.
From what we can tell, Infinity Blade FX plays similar to the original, but on a 46-inch screen outfitted with touch controls, a technology called TouchFX; it joins Fruit Ninja FX and Flight Control FX as one of three App Store games to reach arcades.
Although the concept sounded strange at first, we'd much rather beat up some monsters after a furious night of drinking than sink golf putts.
On that note, be sure to check out the game later this month, providing there's a Dave & Buster's in the area.
