Dreamcast Hit, Soul Calibur, Heading To App Store
The soul still burns, this time on iPhone and iPad.
1999 was such a memorable year for gaming, thanks in large part to Sega and its Dreamcast console. We still have fond memories of picking up systems and games on launch day, including Sonic Adventure, NFL 2K and the granddaddy of them all, Soul Calibur.
Namco Bandai's epic weapons based brawler was without question the number one game to buy, with phenomenal graphics, an epic score and addictive combat. Suffice to say, we spent countless hours mastering each character's unique move set while unlocking a host of goodies.
That said, it brings us great joy to announce that Soul Calibur will eventually appear on the App Store.
No word on whether it's a straight Dreamcast to iOS port, or if Namco Bandai plans to include online play. Also a bit concerned about the touch controls, but for now, this is great news.
