Mario Kart 7 Receives Licensed Plastic Steering Wheel
Because the Japanese really get into their first person racing.
Remember all those plastic racing wheels that came out for the Wii? You probably have one or more collecting dust around the house. Good thing Nintendo stopped licensing those, right?
No, your eyes don't deceive you. Nintendo partnered with peripheral maker, Hori, to produce this plastic wheel for Mario Kart 7.
Priced at 1280 yen, Japanese consumers will be able to snag one this December, just in time for the game's launch.
Players insert their 3DS systems into the center of the wheel. From there, they can enjoy some "enhanced" gyroscopic racing.
No word on whether this will appear in the U.S.
