Luigi A Playable Character In Super Mario 3D Land
Nintendo confirms it after weeks of speculation, plus StreetPass news.
A while back, the Internet was abuzz after some gamers with keen eyes spotted Tanooki Luigi on some Super Mario 3D Land artwork, suggesting the green clad bro would be a playable character.
Now we can officially confirm it. You'll be able to play as Mario's sibling. Not only that, but it seems like Luigi can run faster and jump higher than his more famous brother. No big surprise, since his crazy vertical goes back as far as Super Mario Bros. 2 on NES.
What's more, Mario can turn into stone and crush enemies. We also spied an evil version of Mario that chases after the hero. Clearly Bowser's doing.
In addition, StreetPass support lets gamers earn power-ups each time they wirelessly interact with another 3DS user.
Super Mario 3D Land drops November 13 and we'll have tons of coverage in the coming weeks.
