Gangstar Rio: City of Saints Runs Amok November 10
Gameloft invites iPhone and iPad users to visit South America and kill tons of virtual people.
We have to give Gameloft credit. Although its latest iPhone and iPad game, Gangstar Rio: City of Saints is a direct Grand Theft Auto 3 ripoff, at least it takes place in a new and exciting location, as opposed to GTA developer Rockstar's decision to reuse the same old cities; San Andreas again?
That said, you'll be able to explore crime ridden South America when the game arrives on the App Store November 10, though it'll probably appear sometime this evening, around 11PM Eastern.
From what we've seen, the app plays as expected, with on-foot and vehicle driven missions where players can slaughter whoever, whenever using a variety of weapons. There's also a story filled with a bunch of colorful characters with equally entertaining (and potentially offensive) dialogue.
On that note, the game clocks in at 818.3MB, so be sure to free up some space for Gangstar Rio: City of Saints before downloading.
As for the Android version, still waiting for an official release date from Gameloft.
