Nintendo Turns Times Square Into Super Mario 3D Land, Jon Bon Jovi Makes Surprise Appearance
Family wouldn't have completed the obstacle course, had he not screamed, "we're half way therrrrrrre."
I had every intention of hopping a train to New York City this morning to attend Nintendo's Times Square takeover, an event where the company transformed Military Island into a giant life-sized replica of a level from Super Mario 3D Land, complete with goombas and piranha plants. AKA, the coolest sounding thing I've heard all week.
Instead, I'm stuck at home doing (necessary) wedding stuff. That's right, no free Tanooki ears and tail for this guy. Yes, every person that attends receives free Tanooki ears and a tail.
Thankfully, the extremely kind folks at Nintendo sent along some pictures of the event. Turns out, rock superstar Jon Bon Jovi showed up with his family and posed for pictures. Very cool.
Seems like fun. I would have totally dominated that obstacle course. Then again, with two bad ankles from years of basketball, perhaps jumping onto trampolines would have been a bad idea.
