Winter snowball fights are with you all the time in this mobile version of the popular Shockwave game. We review it here!
Why anyone would want to be up for any kind of snowball fight with summer approaching is beyond me. Maybe there's a crew of people out there with snow on the brain who can't get enough of the likes of winter, even going as far as trying to make snowballs out of crud in the freezer. Anyhow, those who are itching for more winter goodness in the midst of May are likely to find Snowball Fight to their liking.
Crafted from a Shockwave game of the same name, Snowball Fight puts you in three different settings, hiding behind objects and lobbing snowballs at the friendly competition along the way. The way that your distance plays out with your throws is a neat idea, but it's nothing in the way of complexity. During the battles, you can also score hits on innocent animals for bonus points, another great idea that makes the game a bit lively.
Let's face it, this isn't rocket science. Snowball Fight is built pretty simply, with typical animation and barely any noticeable sound effects to differentiate the kind of throws you have in mind. Still, the game is pretty easy to play, and does make for a little distraction.
Now while I would've liked to have seen a two-player mode or maybe a little more variety in the snowy battlefields that you engage war on, it's still a good game. Snowball Fight will provide you some decent fun while you wait a few months for Old Man Winter to surface again.
What's Hot: Simple and fun to play.
What's Not: No multiplayer and little variety on the battlefield.
