Nintendo Partners With West Coast Customs To Create Life-Sized Mario Karts
Even better, you can enter to win one of these bad boys, but you'll have to join GameStop's rewards program.
Nintendo just gave a short presentation at the LA Auto Show where it and partner West Coast Customs revealed two life sized Mario Karts (one for both Mario and Luigi), which we presume look incredible.
We say "presume", because the company issued the press release without sending media.
"Mario karts offer more fun per mile than any other vehicle," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "Mario Kart 7 is a perfect example of the many great games Nintendo has lined up for the holidays."
That was followed by...
"We've played Mario Kart games for years, so it's a dream come true to bring these karts to life," said West Coast Customs CEO Ryan Friedlinghaus. "We think people will be blown away by seeing these cool video game vehicles in person."
Yes, we'd love to be blown away. Pictures, please.
Thankfully, a future 2012 episode of Inside West Coast Customs will show how both parties worked to bring these babies to life.
What's more, you can win one of the karts, providing you're a GameStop PowerUp Rewards member. To enter, simply make a purchase or trade in December (Mario Kart 7 debuts December 4); PowerUp Rewards Pro Members receive two entries. The winner will be announced in February.
We shop at GameStop quite frequently, so we regret to inform you that we will win this contest fair and square.
