Metroid II Arrives November 24, Sakura Samurai Announced
Nintendo has more downloading goodness in store for its 3DS eShop.
The original NES Metroid was re-released quite a few times, but its sequel, Metroid II: Return of Samus, has been in limbo for more than a decade.
Thankfully, Nintendo plans to resurrect this Game Boy classic November 24, where users will be able to download it through the 3DS eShop.
In addition, the company announced Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword. Exclusively downloadable, this action title sends players to ancient Japan to fend off waves of enemy soldiers while trying to rescue a princess. This debuts in January.
Before that, there's Pushmo in December, a 3D puzzler starring Mallo, a pipsqueak with a big heart and surprising strength that'll come in handy for pushing blocks and freeing trapped kids.
We've yet to see screens of the last two games. As for Metroid II, we suggest checking that one out, since it sets up the events that lead to Super Metroid.
