Dead Space HD Apple's iPad Game Of The Year
We knew EA Mobile's survival horror romp was good, but is it this good?
OK, Apple. We love you and all, but you just threw down the gauntlet in naming Dead Space HD the iPad game of the year.
As much as we love EA Mobile's critically acclaimed adventure, there were so many games that debuted throughout 2011, chief among them Infinity Blade 2, which is quite stellar.
Touch choice, indeed.
Of course, EA is thrilled with the news:
We have to admit, even we are impressed by how amazingly scary and fun Dead Space HD is on iPad. The IronMonkey team worked closely with Visceral Games to create a unique story and gameplay experience for iOS gamers. The game features a fully voice-acted stereo soundtrack, plus orchestrated score and sound effects, so you can hear every footstep in the dark empty passages (hint: it isn't Santa) and feel the tension build as you are pulled deeper into danger.
Personal preferences aside, congratulations to the developers for such an outstanding effort, and EA for slashing the price 50 percent upon hearing the news. Kudos all around.
