Monster Hunter 3G Consumes Japan, 3DS Sales On The Rise
How does nearly half a million copies in less than a week sound?
If you need further proof that Capcom's Monster Hunter series is huge in Japan, check this out:
During its first week on the shelf, which only accounts for data from two days, Monster Hunter 3G (AKA Monster Hunter Tri G) sold a ridiculous 471,055 copies.
Not only that, but 3DS sales received a boost. Retailers moved 205,962 systems between November 28 and December 4, then 378,114 from December 5 to December 11.
This is great for Nintendo, with PlayStation Vita a mere three days away. Let's see if these sales hold up/improve through the rest of 2011.
