Ghost Camera Puts 3DS Augmented Reality Feature To Use
A creepy looking Japanese release from the makers of Fatal Frame.
For the most part, developers have failed to leverage 3DS' Augmented Reality feature, including Nintendo. Sure, we've seen a sampling of AR features in games, but there's definitely a lack of quality titles on the market.
That'll hopefully change with Ghost Camera, an upcoming Japanese release from the developers behind the spooky Fatal Frame series.
As we understand it, the game ships with an AR Notebook players scan while they play. In AR fashion, this causes virtual ghosts to appear on the 3DS screen, thus giving the illusion of them being in our world.
Beyond that, Ghost Camera revolves around a possessed journal that curses the player, forcing them to solve its mysterious to survive.
Not sure if it'll be good, but the game debuts in Japan January 12, so perhaps we'll see some impressions in the near future.
If anything, it makes us want Fatal Frame on 3DS with gyroscope control. That would be lovely.
