Namco released a new trailer today for their forthcoming Game Boy Advance title, Rebelstar: Tactical Command. Developed by CODO Games, makers of X-Com UFO Defense, the game features a unique blend of turn-based strategy and RPG elements.
Set in the year 2117, the human race has been under the control of the evil Arelian Empire for over 70 years. Finally deciding they've had enough, a group of rebels rises up to fend off their alien rulers. Players take on the role of Jorel, a new recruit in the rebellion who quickly advances through the ranks to become their leader.
Four different gameplay modes will be available, including a Campaign, Skirmish, Multiplayer Hotseat, and Multiplayer Link Mode. As seen in the trailer, players will control a group of soldiers in turn-based combat, taking place in a many number of areas, both rural and urban.
A variety of commands will be available, as the selection of weapons and position remains a crucial tactic. Additionally, taking advantage of your surroundings with an assortment of destructible terrain will allow players the ability to gain the upper hand against continually advancing alien foes.
