Zynga Rips Off Tiny Tower With Dream Heights, NimbleBit Fires Back
FarmVille creator hopes to capitalize on the success of Apple's 2011 game of the year, and drew some unwanted attention in the process.
Stealing ideas on the App Store is commonplace. We always go back to Capcom's MaXplosion for iPhone, which is a direct rip off of Twisted Pixel's Splosion Man on XBLA.
Now comes Zynga and its building game Dream Heights, which bears a striking resemblance to NimbleBit's 2011 App Store game of the year, Tiny Tower.
Not only does it look the same, but it appears Zynga even took the basic foundation for gameplay.
Well, this hasn't gone unnoticed. In fact, the developers at NimbleBit (all three of them) called out Zynga with the following:
