Mario-edition DSs for Japan
Sorry to be so redundant be so redundant
Following this story Modojo posted the other day, Nintendo of Japan has announced four more editions of their Nintendo DS handheld. Atop the DS case, five wire-frame busts of Mario characters are etched on the five flagship DS colors: Mario (Pure White), Bowser (Graphite Black), Peach (Candy Pink), Yoshi (Turquoise Blue), and Wario (Titanium).
The new DSs are being issued to commemorate Nintendo of Japan's "Hot Summer Campaign." However, the wire-frame Mario DSs will be limited to only 1,000 units and can only be won in an online lottery. As always, don't expect these Nintendo DSs to be released outside of Japan, although North American gamers can grab the Electric Blue DS, which has just shipped to stores.
For those keeping count, this will be the fifteenth special edition for Japan, along with the Pepsi-blue DS, Electroplankton, Shonen Jump Red, Poke-Park, Mew-edition, and the five original colors. For pictures of the new DSs, head on over to Jeux-France.
