Kid Icarus: Uprising Weapons- Strike Blades
Command the power of Holy weapons and snake scales to give Medusa the ultimate smack down.
Kid Icarus: Uprising looks sweet for a plethora of reasons, including weapons. Hero Pit has a variety of fun toys to play with, and he'll need them all to defeat Medusa and her Undead Army.
Yesterday, we profiled Shot Claws. Now it's time to check out Pit's Strike Blades, balanced weapons that prove effective at both close range and distance attacks.
As the name implies, this is the first blade Palutena gives Pit at the start of the adventure. While not the most powerful weapon, its all around effectiveness makes it a necessary companion on the battlefield.
Since this weapon fires several projectiles at once, you're able to hit multiple enemies. Even better, you can use it to deflect attacks. Unfortunately, Burst lacks power, and its short range makes it tough to defeat far away creatures.
Comprised of different Holy weapons, the Royal Blade is the ideal Strike Blade to carry if you have a tendency to run away, since its backward-dash charged shot packs a powerful punch. Standard attacks? Not so great.
We have no intention of counting them all, so well just have to believe Nintendo when it says the Viper Blade was created using scales from 1,000 snakes. That aside, the weapon fires tiny but sharp projectiles that poison foes; for maximum damage, go for dash and charged shots.
Feast your eyes on the game's most powerful Strike Blade, capable of cutting bad guys to pieces with rapid slashes. Of course, this comes at a price, since ranged attacks don't do nearly as much damage. On top of that, it takes quite a while to charge shots.
