Tekken 3D: Prime Edition- No 3D During Multiplayer
Namco Bandai chooses smooth 60 frames per second action over snazzy special effects.
One of the biggest knocks against Tecmo Koei's Dead or Alive Dimensions involves the dip in frame rate once players activate glasses free 3D.
Namco Bandai's Tekken 3D: Prime Edition avoids this...somewhat. Turns out, the game will not support 3D during wireless multiplayer.
The news appears in the latest edition of Iwata Asks:
In Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, the game supports 60 frames per second during wireless play, but stereoscopic 3D display is not supported.
Disappointing, yes, but not a deal breaker. We still plan to play the heck out of this game when it releases next Tuesday.
