Seaman Swimming To 3DS
Bizarre man fish will appear on Nintendo's system. Try not to kill him.
Sega's Dreamcast played host to a bunch of strange video games, chief among them Seaman, a life simulator from Yoot Saito's Vivarium.
The title, narrated by Star Trek alum Leonard Nimoy, tasks players with caring for a wise cracking creature that is half man, half fish. By entering basic info and using the included microphone, gamers are able to interact with Seaman, creating a bizarre relationship with this virtual pet.
While not a huge success in the west, the game was a hit in Japan, and it seems Nintendo will revive Seaman in some fashion on 3DS, according to Japanese publication Nikkei.
We love the Dreamcast original, and look forward to seeing what's in store for an old friend.
By that, we mean Seaman. Not Yoot Saito. We've never met the man.
