Tri-State Area GameStops Cannot Guarantee Extra PlayStation Vita Systems
Plan to purchase a Vita this week? Didn't pre-order, huh? Good luck.
Critics have bashed PlayStation Vita for being overpriced, but it appears their harsh words may not prevent consumers from crowding stores to buy Sony's newest handheld.
And, like most hardware launches, customers that pre-ordered have a distinct advantage.
Of the ten GameStop stores we called this afternoon, located in the Tri-State New York/New Jersey area, none guaranteed extra systems for those who did not reserve.
Granted, this proves nothing in terms of overall sales. We don't know how many units were sent to each location, but it's a good sign for Sony.
Our advice? Don't limit yourself to just GameStop. Check Target, Walmart and Best Buy first thing in the morning. We have a feeling Vitas will be available somewhere.
