Nintendo Blocks Binding of Issac 3DS Version
Nintendo has declined to release Team Meat's latest thanks to 'questionable religious content'.
Team Meat co-founder Edmund McMillen has revealed that Nintendo of America decided not to give a license for 3DS version of Binding of Issac, a religious-parodying dungeon crawler. This means 3DS owners will not experience protagonist Issac as he flees from his abusive, religious zealot of a mother.
"After a long internal debate Nintendo has decided NOT to allow the Binding of Isaac on the 3DS," McMillen said on Twitter.
"As many assumed the reasons were due to the games "questionable religious content". Thank GOD Steam exists!" McMillen said, later thanking Steam for its continued support. "I gotta again publicly thank Steam for fully supporting Isaac and not requiring ESRB or censoring its published games."
