Battlefield 3: Aftershock Quietly Executed
EA has decided to bury Battlefield 3: Aftershock in an unmarked grave.
Last week, Electronic Arts (EA) pulled iOS spin-off Battlefield 3: Aftershock off the Apple App Store after widespread complaints about the quality of the title. At the time, EA said it was "re-evaluating the app" with no mention on when the game would return. Today, EA has announced that Aftershock will not be returning to the App Store.
"In the interest of bringing consumers only the highest level of quality mobile entertainment, EA Mobile has decided to suspend development and support of Battlefield 3: Aftershock and refocus its resources on other titles. The Aftershock servers will be live through March 31st, 2012, and customers who have already downloaded the game can continue to play until then," an EA spokesperson told Vox Games.
