TwinGo!

Weather Twins Fuyu and Natsu do everything together, but as you'll quickly learn, that's how they roll.

Most puzzle games contain multicolored gems or falling blocks, so it's great to see TwinGo!, an app that doesn't follow the usual conventions. Created by SpaceNoize and published by Chillingo, this imaginative and challenging title is visually appealing, easy to play and rewarding, making it a wonderful game to play on the go or relaxing at home.

Here, the goal is to get the yellow and blue Weather Twins (Natsu and Fuyu) to their corresponding colors located on each of the game's 105 stages (90 to start, an extra 15 with free update), and you do this by sliding a finger along the touch screen, instructing the twosome to travel left, right, up and down.

Both characters move in the same direction at once, so the trick involves maneuvering them in such a way as to guide these characters to the correct spots without plummeting off the edge, which forces you to restart from the beginning. On top of that, the designers included the bonus of collecting gold stars before reaching the goal.

What makes the game so much fun is the fact that it looks deceptively easy. It's the type of experience where friends and family members will practically grab the device from your hands with the insistence they can do better, only to become stumped moments later.

With this in mind, you'll definitely want to pump your fist into the air after solving one of the trickier puzzles.

That's about the gist of it. TwinGo!'s a breath of fresh air in the puzzle genre, a brightly colored, cute and immensely addictive game that's worth $0.99 and even more. Two big thumbs up.

What's Hot: Genius concept, near effortless controls, 105 levels, figuring out how to collect all those stars, likeable heroes.

What's Not: Getting stuck.

4.5/5
