NVIDIA Director Talks Mobile Future
3D Gaming to Eventually go Mo'
Director of NVIDIA's handheld content, Brian Bruning, spoke yesterday about the future of mobile gaming, and specifically, the inevitability of 3D content being brought to the mobile market.
Bruning stated that he fully expects that mobile phones will become a multi-purpose platform, encompassing 3D gaming, video and camera, and mp3 functions. Although he was quoted as saying, "It's a small sub-set who will buy a phone because it's got 3D graphics capabilities for game," placing more emphasis that mobile phones will need to incorporate many functions to gain consumer interest.
Burning did not, however, present an estimated time as to when we may see 3D technology in mobile games, but reiterated it is coming at some point. For more on the story, check out Eurogamer.
