iPhone 5 to launch in June?
Key Apple manufacturer ramps up recruitment.
Apple's iPhone 5 could launch as early as June, according to rumours circulating on the internet.
An article posted on the International Business News site (as reported by Kotaku) has highlighted a recruitment drive at a key Apple manufacturer, suggesting that the device may be nearer to release than previously expected.
According to the article, Chinese manufacturer Foxconn has recruited an extra 20,000 employees in order to satisfy the expected high demand for the device. The iPhone 4S was released in October 2011 and sold more than 4 million units in 3 days.
While there's no doubt that a revised version of the hardware is in development, we don't yet know whether Apple will name the device iPhone 5, or simply "new iPhone" in keeping with the recent re-branding of the third-generation iPad device.
