Shark Dash Chomps Its Way To App Store, Android Success

Gameloft's physics-based mobile game has bite, but can it topple Angry Birds?

It's official: people love Shark Dash. Gameloft's most recent title quickly climbed the App Store charts, where it currently sits within the top five paid games on iPhone/iPad, and number nine on the Android Marketplace. In fact, App Store ratings have been consistently great across the board. Check out these averages:

United States (4.5/5), France (4.5/5), the United Kingdom (4.5/5), Germany (4.5/5), Mexico (4.5/5) and Canada (4.5/5).

"We are very proud to offer such a novel gaming experience for our fans to enjoy," states Julien Fournials, Gameloft Senior Vice President of Production. "The extremely accessible gameplay, the never-seen use of water at the heart of the game system, and the quality of its graphics make Shark Dash one of the most polished arcade games on the App Store right now. We invested a lot of resources in the creation of a unique world and an original storyline starring irresistible characters."

Although we didn't award the game as high a score, we still think it's enjoyable, as well as a cool title for Gameloft to have in its portfolio. Read our review here.
