Infinity Blade Dungeons Trailer Makes Us Giddy With Monster-Slashing Excitement
Somehow, Epic made a blacksmith mini-game look oddly entertaining.
Infinity Blade Dungeons is somewhat of a mystery, a very delightful one. Series creator Chair Entertainment handed the development reigns to its partner in crime, Epic, who in turn crafted a dungeon crawler that's more in line with Blizzard's Diablo franchise than the one-on-one hack-and-slash adventures that preceded it.
For a while, all we had was a short trailer, but now Epic released a helping of in-game footage that shows off the combat, as well as a blacksmith mini-game that lets players forge their own weapons, using the touch screen to hammer out blemishes and wipe away scuff marks. Yes, even you can transform an innocent looking piece of metal into a skull-splitting axe.
We still haven't played the game, but should get our hands on it at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June. For now, watch the video and let us know what you think.
