New Game And Merchandise From Angry Birds Developer This Summer.
Racing game expected from F1 partnership.
We can expect to see Angry Birds branching into the racing genre if a report today is anything to go by.
Earlier this year, it was reported by Pocket Gamer that Formula One driver Heikki Kovalainen had entered into a partnership with developer Rovio. It looks like we can now expect to see the fruits of that collaboration in the form of a new web game, as well as some new merchandise based on the ever-popular physics puzzler.
"We're so excited to be working with Heikki on this, the first partnership of its kind in F1," said a representative from Rovio. "The helmet [branded and worn by Kovalainen earlier this year] looks amazing, and we think people are really going to enjoy the web game and merchandise."
It hardly comes as a surprise to learn that Rovio would want to take their games publishing phenomenon into new areas, but how much further can they take the Angry Birds concept? Whatever they come up with, let's hope we get a chance to play on our mobiles and tablets too.
